Terms of Service

Last updated: April 2026.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the BiteKlip application and related services (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The beta

BiteKlip is currently in a free public beta. The Service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. Features, quotas and availability may change at any time without notice. Daily free quotas apply (video minutes, project count) and may be reduced to protect capacity.

2. Your account

You must sign in with a valid email address or OAuth provider via Clerk. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.

3. Your content

You retain all rights to the source videos, audio, transcripts, and clips you upload or generate ("Your Content"). You grant BiteKlip a worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, process, and display Your Content solely to operate the Service on your behalf.

You are solely responsible for Your Content. Do not upload content that you do not have the rights to use, that is unlawful, hateful, sexually explicit about minors, or that violates any third-party rights. We may remove content and suspend accounts that we reasonably believe violate these Terms.

4. Acceptable use

  • No automated scraping, reverse-engineering, or load-testing.
  • No attempts to bypass authentication, quotas, or rate limits.
  • No uploading of malicious files or content that infringes IP rights.
  • No use for generating disinformation or harassing content.

5. Third-party services

The Service uses OpenAI for transcription and analysis, Clerk for authentication, and may use AWS S3 for storage. By using the Service, you accept that Your Content is sent to these providers as needed to deliver the features you invoke.

6. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from the user menu. We may suspend or terminate your access for material breach of these Terms or for reasonable security or abuse concerns.

7. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BiteKlip is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data. Our aggregate liability for the beta is limited to USD 50.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced via the product or by email. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
